Michigan Cherry Scone Mix

Phyllis’ Phenomenal Michigan Cherry Scone Mix  

Preparation instructions - items needed:

1 stick unsalted room temp butter

1 large egg

1/2 cup sour cream

1-1/2 Tbsp sugar

 

Empty contents of package, including cherries, into a large bowl.  Mix butter, egg, and sour cream into a separate bowl.  Combine wet ingredients into dry.  Stir.  Mix with your hands.  Form into a ball.  Place on a lightly floured surface.  Pat into an 8 inch circle.  Sprinkle top with sugar.  Use a knife to cut into 8 triangles.  Place on cookie sheet - one inch apart.  Bake at 400 degrees for 15-17 minutes (golden brown).  Cool for 5 minutes.
