Happy month of love!
One of the most important projects we do each month is scheduling our team members for our Quilt Shop, breakfast service, cleaning and luggage. Your group leader will receive a phone call the month before your stay. What we need to know is if you are arriving early (the night before for an extra $30), how many are in your group, and if you are quilters or crafters. Knowing how many quilters helps us staff the Quilt Shop adequately. Knowing how many people are arriving early helps us staff luggage assistance. We try to have the monthly schedule done 10 days before the start of each month, so team members can plan ahead. Thank you for helping us help your stay be as smooth as possible!

Barb's Garden
This weather! Ugh! Thankfully puzzles make it better! I always enjoy Charles Wysocki as the pieces are a tad smaller (making the 1000 piece more manageable) and some pieces will fit in the wrong spot to add another level of challenge. However they are never too difficult where I wouldn't bother. Here is my latest puzzling. To warmer days...

Diane's Book Nook
A Twist in Time: A Novel by Julie McElwain In this second book of the Kendra Donovan mysteries, Kendra finds herself still stranded in 1815, having unsuccessfully attempted a return to the 21st century. She is stuck at Alderidge Castle, forced to comply with London’s society rules, and desperately wants to return to her FBI Quantico trained identity. She finds one reason to be stuck there though. Her lover, the Duke of Aledridge’s nephew Alec, is being investigated for the murder of his former mistress, Lady Dover. Throughout the investigation, we are invited to look at the underbelly of London’s society through the eyes of a crime lord and his minions, as well as through the eyes of the upper crust. I was sure Kendra would solve the puzzle and identify the murderer, but the twists and turns and machinations of London society certainly added color and intrigue to the story. If you like historical fiction, murder mysteries, and/or a bit of romance, this may be the book for you.
