Happy Holidays!

December is here as quickly as always and the rush has begun. Rushing to get the perfect gifts, clean the house for guests, planning the big meals, getting the things on the “to do” list for the year finished up. Whew! It can be exhausting! I hope you take some time relax and enjoy the holiday season and remember the world won’t end if you don’t get it all done.

During holiday breaks, we try to update, fix and add new things to the buildings. This Nov/Dec we are updating most design walls with Felt Right sound dampening squares. After putting them up at CP2 and CP2B, we ordered more for the rest of the buildings, to be installed in December. Over Thanksgiving, suites A, B, C and 16 room at our Retreat Center each got a recliner for their workrooms. Suite A got updated cutting and ironing stations. All worktables in all buildings got new table protector mats.

There have been improvements made in our infrastructure also, many that you won’t notice. The biggest projects that needed to be done were due to Mother Nature. Water does some amazing damage, whether all at once, or little bit at a time. CPRC received a new patio and third floor siding repairs. CP1 patio areas and basement steps were replaced too.

We read all your suggestions. We appreciate it when you tell us something isn’t working correctly, as we don’t stay overnight or craft all day in the buildings like you do. If we like new ideas, we will make it happen. But alas, a hot tub at each location is still a no.

Barb's Mess

As I get older I feel the need to find homes for my treasures that my children will not want.  So I have spending a lot of time sorting, organizing items to sell.  First is my husbands grandpaperents 78 shellac record collection.  So much info I have learned from the great google!  Over 70 albums mostly early 1920's.  Then my grandfathers antique tiles left from his tile business in Flint.  Mosaic, Faience etc.  Very specific loves.
