September sends our high school team members back to school and starts fall projects
here at Creative Passions. Most holiday weekends we don’t have full houses at our
retreats, so we use that time to fix things and complete new projects. Labor Day
weekend we removed headboards at our Retreat Center and painted designs on the
wall. This will make it easier to clean behind and under beds and prevent dust that
collects on the back sides of a headboard. Halfway through the project I was ready to
quit, but I love how they turned out! At CP3B we installed a permanent design wall in
the work area. And Tuesday we had carpets cleaned at our Retreat Center, CP1 and
the ramp inside at CP2. There were a lot of huge stains at those locations, but Matt at
Crystal Clean Carpet Care once again did an amazing job for us.
We do take suggestions and recommendations, but do know that we cannot do
everything!!

Selena's Scoop
Is it Fall is it Summer, who knows, it's September in Michigan. It's time for football, bonfires, caramel apples and cider. Honestly, it's time for all my favorite things. Who doesn't love a hoodie and jeans, the crisp smell of the air and falling leaves. What about finally turning on your oven, baking and hot soup. What could be better than all of that, how about this recipe.
Better Than "Fill in the Blank" Cake
1 Devil's Food Cake Mix
1 14 oz Sweetened Condensed Milk
8 oz Cool Whip thawed
8 oz Caramel Syrup
Heath Bar Bits
Take your Devils Food Cake Mix and prepare per the box and bake accordingly.
When the cake is done, remove from the oven and using the end of a wooden spoon, poke holes evenly over the whole cake.
While still warm, pour the condensed milk over the cake,spreading it evenly and pushing it into the holes. Next, pour the caramel syrup over the top, leaving some for drizzling on the top. Place the cake in the fridge until ready to serve. Just before serving, cover the whole cake with the Cool Whip, top with Heath Bar Bits and drizzle with Caramel. Cut, Serve and Enjoy!
