Laura's Corner
Hi Retreat and Fabric Friends,
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend and enjoyed good food and family time. What may be an enjoyable time of the year for some is also a struggle for others who are missing loved ones. Take care of your friends and neighbors and, if you can, do a little something extra for someone who is struggling.
The rumor is true, we purchased the building next door to our current Quilt Shop and will be combining the two buildings to make one larger shop. As with all old buildings, there are surprises. What we thought would be a quick renovation, turned into a building that needed to be gutted and new sewer, electric and heating/cooling installed. We plan to be open toward the end of the first quarter of the year. March 1st will be the two-year anniversary of our current Quilt Shop, so that is the date we are shooting for again. Watch for updates on our Quilt Shop Facebook page!
Don’t forget we close the office and Quilt Shop for all holidays so our team members can enjoy time with their families, take vacations, or simply relax. Typically, we will have an online sale during those holidays, but we thank you for understanding our need for a few days off! Creative Passions Retreats are available 363 days of the year, closing only for Easter weekend, but even on Easter still allow early arrival that Sunday night.
As we begin to wrap up the year, check how we did on our goals for 2023 and plan for 2024, we thank you for helping us make Creative Passions the best it can be!
Humbly yours,
Laura G

I can't believe the end of the year is almost here! I am beginning to work on 2025 Calendars, can you believe it??? Once they are completed, I will post them to our website and let everyone know so that they can mark their calendars for their upcoming stay.
As always, if you ever have questions about your reservation, payments, etc., don't hesitate to ask. Barb and I work hard answering emails, texts, and calls to make sure you are ready for your retreat.
Happy Holidays!

It's the most wonderful time of the year but it's also crazy hectic. Decorating, cleaning, starting shopping, finishing shopping, wrapping and family gatherings. Sometimes it can feel like you can't catch a break and you're feeling overwhelmed. For some, there may be extra people in the house and you're making more meals. Wow them with this super easy and delicious breakfast. Who doesn't love cinnamon rolls and apple pie? Why not combine them into one delicious and easy dish.
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Coat a 9x13" baking dish with non-stick spray and set aside.
-
Unwrap the cinnamon rolls from the tube and set the included frosting aside for later use. Cut each of the cinnamon rolls into fourths and place in a large bowl.
-
Spoon the apple pie filling into the bowl and gently stir to combine. Pour the cinnamon roll mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread into an even layer.
-
Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, or until the center is cooked through and no longer doughy. Remove from oven and drizzle the top of the cinnamon roll bake with the icing. Serve warm and enjoy!
