Hey Retreat Friends!
Yay November is finally here! Time for cooler weather and potentially even……SNOW! Having snow on Halloween was better than rain, for sure. This is my favorite time of the year with Thanksgiving, Christmas, and snow right around the corner.
We have some exciting Quilt Shop news happening in the next week, watch for videos to be posted on Facebook early next week!!
In Retreat news, we have one change. Groups should bring their own cutting mats, irons and rulers. We currently have all of them in each building, but as they wear out or break, we will not be replacing them. We WILL continue to have ironing stations and recover those as needed. Thank you for understanding.
Enjoy November, I am thankful for all of you!
Hello friends! Barb and I appreciate all of our Group Contacts taking charge of getting their payments to us on time and being so organized. It definitely makes our job easier.
As a reminder, deposits of $85 are due 90 days in advance with the final payments of $80 being due 30 days in advance. The early arrival fee of $30 can be paid ahead of time if you're certain you will be coming early, but you're always welcome to pay for that when you're here. We check with our groups about a month ahead of time to get a count of those arriving early so that we can schedule luggage assistance. Please let us know sooner than later if you plan on arriving early.
If you ever have any questions about dates, payments, ammenities, etc., please call us. Our office hours are Monday through Friday from 9am to 4pm. And if those hours don't work for you, you can also email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Hope you all have a blessed Thanksgiving!
I love all things Fall, leaves on the ground, crisp chill in the air, Hallmark movies start showing wine tasting and apple picking movies, my boys are home on Sundays watching football. What's not to love? It also becomes the busiest time of the year for so many people. This month is no exception as family gatherings start and you need to bring a dish to pass to all gatherings. Well, here's an easy and delicious one. You know, my boys love a good dip and so do I.
Caramel Apple Dip
8oz Cream Cheese
1/3 cup sugar
Chopped peanuts, toffee, pecans or Heath bars
In a bowl, combine one block of cream cheese and mix it until smooth. To the mixing bowl, add 1/3 cup of sugar and mix until smooth. Spread the cream cheese mixture into a pie plate. Top the cream cheese with Caramel syrup and then chopped peanuts, pecans, Heath bar or Toffee pieces. Now, you can make this healthy and use Granny Smith apples or Honeycrisp apples for dripping or graham crackers or cookies are another great option. Enjoy this quick and easy fall dip.
