Creative Passions October 2023 Newsletter

October Newsletter

Laura's Corner

Hey Fabric and Retreat Friends,

Welcome to October in Michigan where it can be 80 one week and 40 the next!  Our state is so beautiful this month, I hope you get a chance to take a drive around and enjoy the colors.

Now that our HUGE siding project at CPRC is done, last week Rootnote Landscape Solutions came and landscaped the west side and the pond area.  Instead of landscaping being late for this year, I am considering it early for summer 2024!

CP1 is getting a new air conditioning unit as I write this newsletter.  Again, we will be ready for summer 2024!

There are always projects to be done at each building. Unfortunately, there are also emergency repairs that make fun stuff have to wait.  We are proud of saving four historic buildings in town, each over 100 years old.  However, that means that repairs happen more often than in a new building.  We hope you appreciate our efforts and understand how hard small businesses work.

Thankful for all of you,

Laura G

Hello friends! Just a reminder that 2024 Calendars are up on the website for each individual building. If you need to check your dates, click HERE, then select the building. The file contains both 2023 and 2024, so please make sure you scroll down.

Also, we are in the process of working on 2025 Calendars. Once they are complete, we will let you all know.

Have a great fall!

Selena's Scoop

If you've been following along since the beginning of Selena's Scoop you know that Fall is my favorite time of year and football is my family's favorite Sunday past time. Whenever my boys come home for football I spoil them rotten with food. We love dip day but finding new dips can be challenging but I'm up for the challenge.  This is the latest find and it didn't disappoint.

1 tub of sour cream

1 Hidden Valley Ranch dip packet

1 drained can of corn

1 drained can of Rotel

1 cup shredded cheese

Mix all ingredients together and refrigerate.  This dip is best after it has had time to set.  If you want a little extra kick, you could add taco seasoning but I haven't tried it like this yet.  Serve with Tostitos or Fritos Scoops

Street corn in dip form, sign me up.
